At Inscribe, we are committed to continually improving our product so that our customers can benefit from the most efficient automation technically possible.

What is Document Verification from Inscribe?

Inscribe’s Document Verification is designed to ensure that key information provided by an applicant, such as their name or ID number, matches the details in the document they submit. This feature is essential for verifying critical data points like:

  • Name
  • Address
  • Company Name
  • ID Number (e.g., TIN)
  • Custom text strings
  • Regex patterns

Document Verification is available via our API, making it simple for your systems to upload a document and automatically verify key details.

What’s new with Document Verification?

Regex pattern matching

One of the most exciting additions to our Document Verification feature is regex pattern matching. With regex, you can now verify patterns within documents — perfect for cases like masked account numbers where the document might show xxxxx6789 instead of 123456789.

This added flexibility allows financial institutions to handle edge cases like partially masked information or concatenated digits, enabling a more comprehensive verification process.

Multi-string matching

We understand documents may have multiple individuals attached to an account, e.g. “Michael Bluth” and “Oscar Bluth”, or a company could be listed as both “Google” and “Alphabet.”

With multi-string matching, you can now match against multiple personal or company names at once by submitting an array of names during the document upload. This ensures you capture every potential variation and keep your verification process accurate and flexible.

Re-run verifications

What happens when a verification fails due to incorrect information provided by the applicant rather than an issue with the document itself? With this new feature, you can now re-run verifications on already uploaded documents without having to request the applicant to resubmit.

This is particularly useful when an applicant might mistakenly enter incorrect details, such as selecting the wrong business type (C-Corp vs. Sole Proprietor) or entering an incomplete account number. By giving you the ability to re-verify existing documents, we help reduce manual intervention and minimize friction for your customers.

Why we’ve made these improvements to Document Verification

Streamline KYC/KYB processes

With these new enhancements, financial institutions, compliance teams, and fraud analysts can further automate their document review processes. No more time-consuming manual comparisons — our API automates the verification of names, addresses, ID numbers, and more, making onboarding faster and more efficient.

Reduce manual reviews

Manually reviewing submitted documents can be tedious and time-consuming. These updates ensure that your compliance team can rely on automated verifications, allowing them to focus on more complex tasks and reduce operational costs.

Handle edge cases with ease

Whether it’s masked account numbers or applicants with multiple names, our Regex Pattern Matching and Multi-String Matching features allow you to manage these complexities with confidence.

Improve user experience

By reducing the number of manual reviews and allowing for re-verifications without document re-uploads, you can significantly improve the user experience and create a more seamless onboarding process for your customers.
