Oscilar now brings Inscribe directly into Coast’s decision flow. The integration sends the document request, receives Inscribe’s findings as case attributes, and lets Coast’s rules act on them right away. Clean cases close automatically. Others reach an analyst with the document and findings already in place. No code required.
Coast is the financial platform for the trades and transportation, serving thousands of fleet-operating businesses. Its risk team has used Oscilar since 2023 to underwrite and monitor those businesses, and Inscribe for nearly four years to analyze bank statements.
When a fleet asks for a higher credit line, or account activity looks unusual, Coast may ask for recent bank statements. That one document answers two questions: does the business have the cash flow for more credit, and has the statement been manipulated?
The second question keeps getting harder. “Anyone can just make a website. Anyone can make fake bank statements that look completely authentic,” said Delia Nuñez, Coast’s Director of Risk. She has even seen fraudsters use generative AI to prepare for verification calls. “Three years ago it was easier to just catch a fraudster on the phone. Now it’s a little harder because they know exactly what to say.”
The signal was in one system, the decision was in another
Inscribe could tell Coast what was happening inside a document. Oscilar could decide what to do about it. But the two didn’t share a workflow, so a person had to connect them. Support sent the link, the fleet uploaded the statement, and an analyst reviewed it in Inscribe, then went back to Oscilar to update the case.
“Anything that required bank statements lived separately from Oscilar,” Nuñez said. “It was fine initially, because of the volume. But eventually you always hit that point where it becomes tedious to not have it live in the same workflow.”
Bringing the document inside the decision
At Nuñez’s request, Oscilar built the integration into Coast’s existing case flow. Now an analyst marks the required documents on the case, Oscilar calls Inscribe, and Inscribe sends the fleet an upload link and analyzes the statement. The findings come back to the same case as structured attributes, where Coast’s rules read them alongside everything else Coast knows about the fleet. Coast wrote no code.

When the signal is enough, the case closes itself
“Now it’s instant,” Nuñez said. Once a bank statement comes back, Coast does not necessarily need someone to review it. Because the team already trusts the attributes Inscribe produces, a qualifying result can trigger the next action automatically. “No need for someone to go in and close out the case.”
A clean statement with no other flags closes automatically. One with tampering signals goes to an analyst with the document, the findings, and the case history together.

The shift matters more than the speed. Coast isn’t just reviewing documents faster. When the signal is strong enough, the review goes away, and analysts spend their time on the cases that need judgment.
Signal from Inscribe, decision in Oscilar
Each platform keeps doing the job Coast chose it for. Inscribe understands the document. “We would never have done the bank tampering or anything like looking at fraud signals on our own,” Nuñez said. Oscilar combines those findings with what Coast already knows and moves the case through routing or automatic closure.
“Instead of having to build custom APIs or sort of standing this up separately and then somehow feeding the data from Inscribe onto Oscilar, now it’s just a very seamless part of the workflow building,” Nuñez said. “I don’t need an engineer. I don’t need a very technical person.”
Inscribe still analyzes the document. Oscilar still makes the decision. The difference is that no one at Coast has to stand between them.
